Ramona Telcian, violin, and Gustav Jannert, piano and organ, perform César Franck's violin sonata, a partita on The Blessed Day for violin and organ, and Otto Olsson's Romance for violin and organ. Free admission. Cesar Franck wrote his sonata at the age of 63 for the wedding of his friend Eugene Ysaye, one of the most renowned violinists of his time and also a composer of violin music. It has become one of the most appreciated violin sonatas. During his long life, Otto Olsson was a central figure in Swedish church music life and is known as a composer mainly of organ and choral music, but has also written a great deal of chamber music, including the evening's romance for the somewhat unusual instrument combination organ and violin. The undersigned wrote the partita on "The Blessed Day" in 2012 before a concert on the new organ in Mularp's church outside Falköping. Gustav Jannert Ramona comes from the village of Ciceu-Giurgesta in Romania and has studied violin in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and in Basel, Switzerland. Gustav comes from Falköping, has studied church musicianship and diploma in organ in Gothenburg, early music in Basel, but also supplemented with a master's degree in piano. They live in the village of Vechea in Romania and teach their respective instruments during the semesters. Ramona and Gustav have played together since the summer of 2006, mainly in Sweden and Romania but also in Germany and Switzerland, with repertoire from Sweden and Romania. Otherwise, they have played music from the European classical, romantic and modern repertoire.
