Birdwatching Day at naturum Tåkern

Naturum is open 10:00-17:00. During the day we have the following activities:

Bird ringing
Tåkern's field station rings birds at the bird tower at 08:00-11:00. If the weather is bad, this activity may have to be cancelled. Take the opportunity to learn more about why birds are ringed and how it is done so as not to harm the birds. To be part of a ringing and see birds so close is usually experienced by many as a cool nature experience!

Short free guided tour of the naturum's exhibition
Get a brief introduction to nature at Tåkern by joining a guided tour of the visitor centre's exhibition. The guide will tell you about bird watching and the birds of Tåkern on this day.

Cost: Free
Age: From about 4 years and up.
Time: 10:30-10:45.
Place: Gathering at the reception inside the visitor centre.

Guided tour – theme spring birds
Join us on a guided tour of Tåkern Nature Reserve where we focus on the birds that are at Tåkern right now. Birdwatching tricks are handed out.

Time: 11:00-12:00
Cost: 60 SEK/adult and free for children
Age: From about 6 years and up.
Place: Gathering at the reception inside the visitor centre.

Inside the visitor centre, we hold a short guided tour (about 10-15 minutes) about one of the 280 bird species that have been seen at the lake.
