Dramatized evening tours of the castle

During the castle's high season, dramatized tours will run in the evenings on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On these guided tours, you get to go into history and really experience the history of the castle in a dramatized and lively way!

Night walks take place in the evening in the castle, which is turned off and becomes a little dark. Here visitors can meet a king or a queen, Duke Magnus or one of Gustav Vasa's daughters? Or perhaps a headstrong guard who talks about his life in a more vivid and dramatized way.

Vadstena bullret One of the biggest scandals of the Vasa era, which took place here at Vadstena Castle in 1559. The story of the meetings between the promised Vasa daughter Cecilia and the unmarried Johan of Ostfriesland has all the ingredients – passion, rage, family drama, gossip and political entanglements. Join us on a trip back to the fateful night when the scandal was discovered and hear the people involved's own words about the scandal.
