Price and registration
Adult: 160 SEK incl. admission, children/youth 8-17 years: 50 SEKJoin us on a journey back in time from the Middle Ages to the present day! Our general tour tells the entire history of the museum building, starting with the palace that Birger jarl's son King Valdemar had built in the mid-13th century, a centre of power for debauched court life and political meetings. Birgitta Birgersdotter came here to teach Queen Blanka, and here she got her vision of a new monastic order. The palace was transformed into a nunnery, later became a man-of-war's house, then a hospital and eventually a museum. The stories that have taken place here over 750 years make the place a unique and important cultural heritage. If you are entitled to discounted admission with e.g. Cultural Heritage Card or want to go on several guided tours on the same day - reserve a guided tour via info@klostermuseum.se and then pay on the spot.
