Admission: adult 110 SEK, children/youth 0–17 years free.Guided tour incl. entrance: adult 160 SEK, children/youth 8–17 years 50 SEK.
Family tour: children/youth 0–17 years 50 SEK, included in the entrance for adults.
On the same weekend as the Medieval Days in Vadstena, 4–5 July, we at Sancta Birgitta Abbey Museum offer extra programs for history buffs of all ages!
- Historical themed tours: our most comprehensive tour "From Royal Palace to Cultural Heritage" at 12 noon and "The Knight's Era and the Royal Palace" at 3 pm.
- For children and young people: join the family tour Medieval Journey at 11.15, walk the children's trail and look for historical figures in the museum, dress up in our medieval wardrobe or borrow hobby horses and kubb out on Gräsgården!
- Exhibition opening "Viking Gold – Treasure Politics since 1800", Saturday 4 July at 14.00. Short lecture by guide Monica Aste Thorén about the Viking Age center of power in Aska outside Vadstena.
- Musical city walk with Gräsgården Singers, Sunday 5 July at 13.30. Join us for a walking concert from the castle to the monastery with folk and sacred tones from the Renaissance to the Middle Ages! Gathering and starting at the stone bridge on the north side of Vadstena Castle.
