Evenemang På scen

On August 15, the Shakespeare Factory will be visited by none other than court singer Anne Sofie von Otter, fiddler and accordionist Bengan Janson and guitarist Fabian Fredriksson in a late summer concert that the audience will never forget.

Description

Anne Sofie von Otter sang in the early eighties at the Vadstena Academy, at Vadstena Castle, and has since had an international career that is unparalleled. Her workplaces are the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Covent Garden in London as well as the opera houses in Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Brussels and Stockholm, to name just a few. She is one of the foremost artists of her generation and has an impressive amount of albums in her catalog. Anne Sofie von Otter has an unusual breadth in her repertoire and has sung in Mahler and Bach as well as ABBA, Elvis Costello and Kurt Weill. Even after four decades at the absolute top of the world, von Otter takes on new roles and challenges at the world's opera houses. Putting the happy fiddler Bengan Janson in a box is not possible. With ruthless desire he ventures into the world of jazz, ballads, folk music and music-comedy, everything is playable. Through a close audience contact and an unusual musical talent, he handles both keys and audience in a remarkably easy-going and talented way. Fabian Fredriksson is a songwriter, producer and guitarist. He has played guitar on the Grammy-winning CD Douce France and on So Many Things with Anne Sofie von Otter and Bengt Forsberg on organ. Fabian has performed at concerts in Hanoi, Adelaide, Usedom, London and Stockholm.
